Collision repair frame work at SS Paint & Body
Collision Repair

Accidents happen. When they do, you need a shop that treats your car like it's their own — and treats you like a neighbor, not a claim number. That's exactly what we do at SS Paint & Body.

Every collision repair starts with a careful, transparent assessment. We document damage thoroughly, communicate directly with your insurance company, and walk you through every step so there are no surprises.

Structural repairs are performed to strict OEM safety standards using computerized measuring systems and precise frame straightening. Body panels, bumpers, and trim are refinished with a computerized paint match to blend seamlessly with your original finish.

When you drive off our lot, your car doesn't just look like the accident never happened — it performs like it, too.

How Long Does Collision Repair Take?

Repair timelines at SS Paint & Body depend on the nature of the damage, parts availability, insurance approval timelines, and whether structural or refinishing work is involved. Minor collision repairs are typically faster than repairs requiring frame work, panel replacement, or full paint refinishing. When you drop off your vehicle, we provide a written timeline estimate so you know exactly what to expect. Call us at (936) 581-4556 with questions about your specific situation.

How the Insurance Process Works

Texas law gives you the right to choose your own body shop. Here is what the process looks like when you bring your vehicle to us:

  1. 01File your claim with your insurance company and note your claim number.
  2. 02Choose SS Paint & Body — you are not required to use the shop your insurer recommends.
  3. 03Drop off your vehicle and receive a free damage assessment.
  4. 04We contact your adjuster, document all damage, and handle supplement requests if additional damage is found during teardown.
  5. 05Pick up your repaired vehicle, backed by our Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.

Collision Repair — Common Questions

What is included in a collision repair estimate?

Our free estimate includes a visual inspection of all visible damage, a repair cost breakdown by panel, parts cost, labor time, and paint materials. If additional damage is found during teardown, we contact you and your insurer as soon as it is identified — before any additional work proceeds.

Do you use OEM parts?

We use OEM or equivalent quality parts on all repairs. We always discuss parts options with you and your insurer. You have the right to request OEM parts, and we can advocate for that when it matters for safety or your vehicle's integrity.

Can you repair all makes and models?

Yes. We work on all makes and models including domestic vehicles, imports, trucks, SUVs, and luxury vehicles. As I-CAR Gold Class Certified technicians, we follow manufacturer-specific repair procedures for each vehicle.

Will my car look exactly like it did before?

That is our goal on every repair. We use computerized color matching to blend your vehicle's repaired panels with the original finish in our climate-controlled spray booth.

Do you offer a warranty on collision repair?

Yes. All collision repair work at SS Paint & Body is covered by our Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty, which covers defects in workmanship including structural integrity, paint adhesion, and color matching. Ask about warranty terms when you pick up your vehicle.

What if my car has hidden damage found after the estimate?

During teardown, we sometimes find damage not visible during the initial inspection — this is called a supplement. As soon as additional damage is identified, we contact you and your insurance adjuster, document the damage with photos, and obtain approval before any additional work proceeds.
