Paint Match

Invisible blends. Factory-accurate.

We use computerized color-matching technology to achieve a seamless, factory-accurate finish on any repair, touch-up, or full panel respray — so new paint blends invisibly with your vehicle's original color.

Paint Match

Two cars with the same factory paint code rarely wear the same color years later. Sun, weather, and age quietly shift every panel — so matching a repair to what's already on your car takes more than a paint code.

We start with a spectrophotometer reading directly on your vehicle. That measurement drives a formula lookup with variant decks that account for real-world color drift. We mix, spray a test card, compare it under multiple light sources, and fine-tune the tint until the match is invisible.

On the vehicle, we blend into adjacent panels and feather the clear-coat so there are no visible edges — just one continuous, factory-accurate finish.

Precise paint matching is part of every auto body painting job and every collision repair we perform.

How We Match Your Vehicle's Paint

Paint matching is one of the most technically demanding parts of auto body repair — and one of the most visible ways a repair can fall short. Here is our process:

  1. 01Color Read — We use computerized color-matching technology to identify your vehicle's exact paint formula, accounting for any fading or weathering over time.
  2. 02Formula Mix — We mix the formula identified for your vehicle.
  3. 03Test Panel — We verify the color match before applying it to your vehicle.
  4. 04Apply — Paint is applied in our climate-controlled spray booth, which minimizes contamination and temperature variables.
  5. 05Blend — We blend the repaired panel into adjacent surfaces for a seamless result.

The goal: you should not be able to tell where the repair was.

Paint Matching — Common Questions

Can you match factory paint exactly, even on older vehicles?

Yes. Our computerized color-matching process reads your vehicle's actual current finish — including any fading or weathering — not just the original factory code. This means we can create an accurate match even on vehicles that have been in service for years.

What if my car has a special finish such as metallic, pearl, or matte?

Metallic, pearl, and tri-coat finishes require additional layering steps compared to standard solid paint. Contact us at (936) 581-4556 to discuss your vehicle's specific finish.

How do you verify the paint will match before spraying the whole panel?

We test the mixed formula on a sample surface and verify the match before applying it to your vehicle. This step catches any adjustment needed before the paint goes on your car.

Will the repaired panel look different in different lighting?

A quality paint match should look consistent across natural light, shade, and artificial light. If you notice any difference after your repair, contact us and we will address it under our workmanship warranty.
